Back in 2012, I showed snippets of the first ever PEES school magazine Vol 1 No 1, issued in 1962.
Back then, I was unable to obtain facsimiles of all the inside pages. (Link here:- School Magazine of 1962)
Finally, I can now show you the entire magazine.
Should anyone of you can still remember or recall your memories from that time, I would love to hear from you. I really love the old adverts. I wonder how many of the advertisers are still around now?
I had a really good laugh when, poignantly, I saw the last advert inside was from Singapore Casket!! ha ha.

ReplyDeletehello sir, i just wanted to thank you very much for creating this blog and documenting the history of this area. i moved to the hillview area in 2000 as a child and have lived here since. i have distant memories of the HDB blocks, the wetmarkets, the large hawker center in the area. i have always had a curiousity about the small histories of singapore that tend to get forgotten in time. thank for you helping to keep safe a small portion of it (:
ReplyDeleteSaw the advertisement for K. Ratna Sports. K. Ratna Sports still has an old office along Niven Road near the temple. The Ratna Sports sign can still be seen.
