However, as Goh Tong Liang was a public figure, his records are in many places in the National Archives. Chua Chin Huat and Goh Ah Piao, my great great forebears who farmed the chukangs at Chua Chu Kang and Nam San are also registered as landowners, esp Chua Chin Huat who owned several swathe of land in the western region of Singapore, including areas in Bukit Panjang, around Bukit Timah hill and Woodlands. He also once owned the land that NJC sits on today at Dunearn Road.
